We held our UK wedding reception at houldsworth golf club a couple of weeks ago. It was a fantastic evening and everything was well run and organised by the wonderful Clare and Angela! The food was lovely and the bar staff were great. Such a lovely venue too and I was so pleased we got to make full use of the terrace! I would certainly recommend hiring this room for any occasion. We recently had our twin Daughters 21st celebration and it was an amazing evening. Everyone commented on what a great venue it was and a real hidden gem! but more importantly how amazing the food was and how fantastic the staff were. I had my 50th birthday celebrations last week and it was a huge success! Thanks so much to Angela and Clare and the whole team for a fantastic night. Everyone was very complimentary about the delicious food and the whole atmosphere of the venue, and we were very lucky it was a pleasant evening so guests could enjoy being on the balcony too! I'd thoroughly recommend this venue because of the warmth and helpfulness of the team, the quality of the food and service and the lovely location.

A funeral may not appear to be an appropriate social event to review but I really feel that anyone who may be considering holding a 'do' a 'wake' or a 'celebration of life ' at this venue then you couldn't choose anywhere more appropriate.

Clare, Angela and their Team provided a truly great buffet, and nothing was too much trouble. These ladies know their stuff and all in a perfect setting..

Firstly, a massive thank you on behalf of Steve and I, for our recently held wedding (25 April 2015) at Houldsworth Golf Club.
We booked the wedding in May of last year and were totally impressed with Angela and Claire and their professionalism. What seemed a daunting process, was made simple and stress free! No request was refused, and their recommendations for the Wedding Singer, DJ and room linen hire meant that I could concentrate on all the other numerous things that needed organising.

On the day, the rooms looked amazing, and again Angela and Claire were there to alleviate any last minute angst that Steve and I felt.
Since the wedding, friends and family have been bombarding us with their praise for the choice of venue, quality and quantity of the buffet, so much so, that even though a large proportion of guests travelled over from Wales, they all want us to renew our vows next year(bit soon I think) and hold it at the same place, just so that they can do it all over again!

Both Steve and I would not hesitate in recommending the Golf Club for any celebration you may have, and in fact you would have to go a long way to better it.

Well I need to start by saying a huge thank you to Clare and Angela and all the team for their help throughout the planning of our wedding. We decided to have our whole wedding at the golf club including the marriage ceremony due to the golf club recently getting a marriage license and ours was the second wedding to be carried out.

The whole process from start to finish has been completely stress free and I can honestly say this wouldn't have been the case without all the help from Clare and Angela. They ensured everything was in order with regards to the ceremony and were always at the end of the phone if I needed to check anything. They gave us loads of useful ideas with how the day should flow to ensure went as smoothly as possible and the magician and venue dresser they recommended were fabulous.
There was absolutely nothing that could have been any better on the day and we have had so many of our guests say just how lovely the venue,food and whole day was.

I would recommend getting married here to anybody who is considering it as our day was perfect and best of all stress free as everything was taken care of for us. I am just sad it's all over as will miss my chats with Clare and Angela who have become like friends so thank you so much. X

I'm not really sure where to start... Angela & Clare have been amazing in helping me every step of the way. They didn't just do their job they reminded me of things I'd forgot and also took away the stress of some of the smaller things that get on top of you. They weren't just the people that were sorting my food out they became and will stay friends to me. With out them both I don't think the day would have gone so smoothly. Knowing they were both in control put me at total ease.
On the day the service and the way they whole day went was beautiful and to be honest I didn't expect anything less as they all take pride and care in making sure you special day is perfect for you.

Well what can I say? What every I say will not do Angela, Clare & The Team justice.

From the minute we walked in to book the event 2 years earlier to the last minutes of the wedding day itself they were all fantastic. Very professional and friendly. Angela and Clare organised everything to perfection. the food was fantastic (which everyone commented on), even their recommendation of Mark the photographer, the Magician and the DJ were spot on. There was nothing that was too much trouble for them and they were always at the end of the phone to answer any queries we had (I am going to miss our chats). I would definitely recommend them as they really do make your day, that SPECIAL day that you will never ever forget.

Chelsea and Adam were just amazed by everything and say they could do all again.

Due to becoming ill in the run up to my wifes suprise 60th Birthday party and only just recovering this is a little late however what can be said in the circumstances was that excellent service doesnt even begin to cover what was provided by Claire and Angela. Not only did they go the extra mile they moved Heaven and Earth to ensure the night was a success. Quite simply couldnt have done it without them, absolutely brilliant doesnt even give them enough crdit. Even Claires impromtu pretence at being the lady pro who was taking my wife to see if a left or right handed club would suit to get her to the room was spot on. Can not speak highly enough of the qulity of everything from start to finnish.
