Houldsworth Golf Club - weekly activities

Saturday
Every Saturday of the year, weather permitting, we have competitions for our members. In the summer they are mainly white tee individudal competitions, with the odd pairs event thrown in, many of these competitions are classed as club "majors" and the winners are awarded with not only their prize, but gold lettering on the honours boards and an invitation to the yearly major winner dinner. In the winter we run a series of winter league and pro's competitions. We remain on our  greens, we never move to temporary greens unless it is deemed absolutely necessary.

Sunday
Sunday is social golf, we have a roll-up at approximately 12 noon every Sunday where we throw the balls up and all put a fiver in the pot sometimes this time changes if there is a match on or full weekend competition (always check with our pro Dan).

Monday
Monday is probably our quietest day, ideal for a social game with your pals.

Tuesday
Tuesday there is a roll-up at 9:00 AM we throw the balls up and off we go. Many of the seniors (over 55s] use this as their practise day. The ladies section has the tee from 12 noon until 2:00 PM.

Wednesday

We have a fantastic Wednesday section every week of the year, there are many competitions that run throughout the summer season come up many of which are again natures and you are playing for gold lettering and posterity. In the winter months there is a series of pro's comps, so you can keep your swing going all year round.

Thursday
Thursday is Seniors day. We have a flourishing Senior section and Thursday is match day, starting at 9:30 AM. There are also many seniors matches against other local clubs, either home or away.

Friday

Just like Monday, Friday is a quiet day and perfect for practice or a time to take a few quid off your pals in a social game. Sometimes in the summer, a roll-up is run in the late afternoon.
